Tournament Overview
The Cameron Champ Foundation is proud to host the sixth annual Mack Champ Invitational and Mack Champ Invitational Showcase, premier tournaments for the game’s best junior golfers from diverse backgrounds.
Named in honor of Mack Champ, Cameron’s late grandfather, the tournament is guided by three core pillars:
- To provide a premier competitive experience for junior golfers from diverse backgrounds
- To create an event where players and their families can connect, share their journeys, and build lifelong relationships
- To serve as a springboard into top-tier junior tournaments and college scholarship opportunities
A Unified Championship Returns
In 2026, the Mack Champ Invitational Boys and Girls and Mack Champ Invitational Showcase Boys and Girls returns to Memorial Park Golf Course—home of the LPGA Chevron Championship and the PGA Tour’s Texas Children’s Houston Open—from June 4–7. After several years of hosting separate championships, we are excited to bring boys and girls back together under one unified tournament structure, creating new opportunities for players and expanding the overall impact of the event.
Mack Champ Invitational Tournament Updates
This year, we’ve introduced several updates with the unified Mack Champ Invitational format:
- All players ages 14–18 will compete from the same tee boxes
- Players will compete in 54-holes of stroke play competition with a cut off 40% of the field after 36 holes at the championship venue.
Mack Champ Invitational Showcase Updates
- Players in 11 & Under, 12-13 and 14–18 divisions will compete in 36 holes of stroke play, with the first round on Friday and the final round on Saturday.
Championship Venue
The Mack Champ Invitational and Mack Champ Invitational Showcase presented by Chevron are contested at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, the home of the LPGA Chevron Championship and the PGA Tour’s Texas Children’s Houston Open.
Competing at Memorial Park provides players the opportunity to perform on a LPGA major championship and PGA Tour–tested venue, reinforcing the tournament’s elite standard and preparing athletes for the highest levels of competitive golf.

Tournament Details
- A practice round will be available on Thursday, June 4
- Host hotel(s) and player dinner details will be shared upon selection
The Mack Champ Invitational entry fee of $350 per player includes:
- Player dinner ticket – (includes special keynote speaker)
- Lunch following each tournament round
- A Junior-Am round or a complimentary practice round
- A welcome gift package
The Mack Champ Invitational Showcase entry fee of $325 per player includes:
- Player dinner ticket – (includes special keynote speaker)
- Lunch following each tournament round
- Complimentary practice round
- A welcome gift package
Families in need of financial assistance may apply for a Liberty National ACE Grant through the AJGA, which provides up to $1,500 toward player expenses and $500 for parent airfare. Visit the AJGA website to learn more and apply.
Mack Champ Invitational Rankings & Recognition
Player performances at the Mack Champ Invitational presented by Chevron are officially recognized by leading junior and amateur golf ranking organizations, including:
- AJGA Performance Based Entry (PBE)
- World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)
- Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS)
This recognition ensures tournament results carry national significance within the junior golf and collegiate recruiting landscape.
Mack Champ Invitational Showcase Rankings & Recognition
Player performances at the Mack Champ Invitational Showcase presented by Chevron are officially recognized by leading junior golf ranking organization, including:
- Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS)
This recognition ensures tournament results carry national significance within the junior golf and collegiate recruiting landscape.
AJGA Recognition
The Mack Champ Invitational Boys and Girls Champion will earn a full AJGA exemption, granting direct access to AJGA events. In addition, top finishers will receive AJGA Performance Stars through the AJGA’s Performance Based Entry (PBE) system—an important pathway for elite junior golfers seeking exposure and advancement.
- 12 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 2-4
- 8 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 5-8
- 4 stars for each boy and girl who finish in the Top 9-15

Championship Incentive

PGA Junior Championship Exemption
The Mack Champ Invitational boy and girl champions earn exemptions into the PGA Junior Championship, one of the most prestigious junior boys’ and girls’ tournaments in the world.

Need to Know
Pace of Play: Pace of play guidelines can be found here. Please review them before the first round!
Spectator Golf Carts: Spectator carts are not allowed during practice or tournament rounds without a government-issued Blue Permanent Handicap placard. Please contact mci@cameronchampfoundation.org if you need a cart. For Thursday’s practice round, spectator carts can be rented for $25 per person.
Caddies: Caddies are allowed for players in the 11-and-under division.
Parking: Parking at Memorial Park Golf Course is $1 for every 3 hours. Download the ParkMobile App or pay at the kiosk.
Scorecards: Players will be required to bring a smartphone or device with internet capabilities that supports the Golf Genius app (available on iOS or Android) to use for official scorecards and live scoring. Please make sure you have the most updated version of the app. Instructions for using the app can be found here. Each player will be provided with a Golf Genius ID at the starting tee and will be assigned to mark for another player in the group. Players are responsible for providing their own device and ensuring it is fully charged for the round.
Rangefinders: The Mack Champ Invitational and Mack Champ Invitational Showcase allows the use of distance-measuring devices in all competitions. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or MEASURE OTHER CONDITIONS that might affect his/her play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3(1).
Push Carts: Push carts (non-motorized) are approved for use by all players as permitted by the host facility. Players are responsible for providing their own push carts.
Practice Rounds: The following rules apply:
- Players must always carry or push their own bags.
- Parents, spectators, and coaches MUST always remain on the cart path. No exceptions.
- Players must play ready golf.
- Players must not hit two shots at any time during the round. After normal completion of the hole, players may choose to play an additional 2-3 putts OR chips per hole, but NOT BOTH.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to mci@cameronchampfoundation.org. Cancellations received on or before May 1st will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after May 1st will forfeit their entry fee.
