Tournament Overview

The Cameron Champ Foundation is proud to host the Mack Champ Invitational, a premier tournament for the game’s best junior golfers from diverse backgrounds.

Named in honor of Mack Champ, Cameron’s late grandfather, the tournament is guided by three core pillars:

  • To provide a premier competitive experience for junior golfers from diverse backgrounds
  • To create an event where players and their families can connect, share their journeys, and build lifelong relationships
  • To serve as a springboard into top-tier junior tournaments and college scholarship opportunities

A Unified Championship Returns

In 2026, the Mack Champ Invitational Boys and Girls returns to Memorial Park Golf Course—home of the LPGA Chevron Championship and the PGA Tour’s Texas Children’s Houston Open—from June 4–7. After several years of hosting separate championships, we are excited to bring boys and girls back together under one unified tournament structure, creating new opportunities for players and expanding the overall impact of the event.

Tournament Updates

This year, we’ve introduced several updates with the unified Mack Champ Invitational format:

  • All players ages 15–18 will compete from the same tee boxes
  • Players in the 12–14 and 15–18 divisions will compete in 54 holes of stroke play, with the first round on Friday and the final round on Sunday.
  • The 11-and-under division will compete in 36 holes

Select 12–14 players may be invited to play up in the 15–18 division.

Age Divisions & Yardages

  • The 11 & Under, 12–14, and 15–18 age divisions will compete from division-appropriate yardages set by the Tournament Director.
  • Juniors who have not reached their 19th birthday and have not graduated high school* as of January 1 of the event year are eligible.Once a player starts college, they are no longer eligible, regardless of age.


Championship Venue

The Mack Champ Invitational presented by Chevron is contested at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, the home of the LPGA Chevron Championship and the PGA Tour’s Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Competing at Memorial Park provides players the opportunity to perform on a LPGA major championship and PGA Tour–tested venue, reinforcing the tournament’s elite standard and preparing athletes for the highest levels of competitive golf.

Tournament Details

  • A practice round will be available on Thursday, June 4
  • Host hotel(s) and player dinner details will be shared upon selection

The entry fee of $350 per player includes:

  • Player dinner
  • Lunch following each tournament round
  • A Junior-Am round or a complimentary practice round
  • A welcome gift package

Families in need of financial assistance may apply for a Liberty National ACE Grant through the AJGA, which provides up to $1,500 toward player expenses and $500 for parent airfare. Visit the AJGA website to learn more and apply.

Rankings & Recognition

Player performances at the Mack Champ Invitational presented by Chevron are officially recognized by leading junior and amateur golf ranking organizations, including:

  • AJGA Performance Based Entry (PBE)
  • World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)
  • Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS)

This recognition ensures tournament results carry national significance within the junior golf and collegiate recruiting landscape.

AJGA Recognition

The 15–18 age division winner of the Mack Champ Invitational will earn full AJGA exemption, granting direct access to AJGA events. In addition, top finishers will receive AJGA Performance Stars through the AJGA’s Performance Based Entry (PBE) system—an important pathway for elite junior golfers seeking exposure and advancement.

PGA Junior Championship  Exemption

The boy and girl tournament champion earns an exemption into the PGA Junior Championship, one of the most prestigious junior boys and girls tournaments in the world.

This opportunity highlights the Mack Champ Invitational as a clear advancement pathway for highly competitive junior golfers.
