About the Tournament
The Cameron Champ Foundation is proud to host the Mack Champ Invitational, a tournament for the game’s best junior golfers of diverse backgrounds.
Named in honor of Mack Champ, Cameron’s grandfather who passed away in October of 2019, the tournament focuses on identifying talented diverse players as a way to honor Mack’s legacy.
The inaugural 36-hole event, for boys and girls ages 11-18, was played at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston from March 19-21, 2021. The second annual tournament is scheduled for March 18-20, 2022.
Our invitational provides these junior golfers the opportunity to showcase their talents and attend a clinic with Cameron Champ, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour who played his college golf at Texas A&M.
Memorial Park, which was recently redesigned by Tom Doak to become the new home of the PGA Tour’s Houston Open, is an ideal setting with world-class practice facilities.
Cameron Champ and the Cameron Champ Foundation are proud to host what is sure to become one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world of junior golf.
Entry Fee: The 2022 tournament entry fee is $295, which covers 36 holes of competition, a junior am round or a free practice round, welcome dinner for participants and welcome gift package. The entry fee will be collected when the player is accepted into the field.
Age Divisions: The Mack Champ Invitational will have four age divisions: 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18.
Course Yardages and Rating
Caddies: Caddies will be allowed for players who are 11 and 12.
Rangefinders: The Mack Champ Invitational allows the use of distance-measuring devices in all competitions. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or MEASURE OTHER CONDITIONS that might affect his/her play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3(1).
Spectator Golf Carts: Golf carts and spectator carts are not allowed without a government-issued Blue Permanent Handicap placard. Please see the Tournament Director on-site to receive an approved cart.
Push Carts: Push carts (non-motorized) are approved for use by all players as permitted by the host facility. Players are responsible for providing their own push carts.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations received on or before February 15th will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after February 15th will forfeit their entry fee.
